Podcast Episode 1: How We Train Dogs
My name is Ralf Weber, and I am a TWC Certified Professional Dog Trainer. I have 18 years of experience working with dogs. This is my podcast ‘Dog Talk’ on anything dog-related. I am the author of the dog book ‘If Your Dog Could Talk – Understand Your Dog Like Never Before.’ I am also a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals.
In this first episode, I discuss how we work with dogs. We also explore why we do it the way we do. Over the last five years, our approach has shifted to play-based training. I was first introduced to this way of working with dogs by Jay Jack from Next Level Dogs in 2017. In 2020, I achieved a TWC certification by Ivan Balabanov, and 95% of all training is now play-based. This way of working produces superior results for all obedience and behavioral work. Especially the results for fear and aggression cases are remarkable. I hope you enjoy this episode.
